Dr. Marilyn Lindauer is Committed to Building
Healthy Bodies and A Healthier Community
Being a positive and active presence in our community is an important part of our goal of improving the health and quality of people's lives. We continue to do this in a number of ways and of course are always open to suggestions/invitations to become involved in new ways.

”I think it is well past time that doctors were accessible again to the people they serve the public!”

Free Phone Consultations
One of the simplest and most important steps we have taken is to offer free phone consultations to everyone who calls our office. Dr. Lindauer began to do this because she was fed up with impersonal healthcare in my community AND she wanted people to be able to talk to a doctor like in the good old days before managed care.
Sharing Our Knowledge
Many more people need advice and care than I could help in my office. By lecturing on back care, carpal tunnel syndrome, and safety on the job, Dr. Lindauer can help people all over Marin and neighboring counties learn more about how to stay healthy and know more about pain management.
Dr. Lindauer has been Guest Lecturer and Consultant to:
· Emporium Department Store (now Macy*s);
· Holiday Inn Hotel;
· Dominican University;
· Allied Mechanical;
· Polycold Systems, Inc.;
· Lucasfilms; and
· Other private groups and clubs for over 20 years.
Marin YMCA Healthy Kids Day, Promoting Lifelong Physical Health
Once a year, Northgate Chiropractic, along with other companies and organizations, take part in "Healthy Kids Day" with the Marin YMCA, calling special attention to the importance of children's safe and healthy development. Northgate Chiropractic marked its attendance with a booth offering information, prizes, and healthy activities.
Keeping Halloween Safe
Dr. Marilyn Lindauer has opened her doors to all the little ghouls and goblins to X-ray children's candy for foreign objects at no charge. We are not overly fond of a world that necessitates this kind of thing, but an X-ray can easily spot foreign metallic objects. It cannot find chemical or non-metallic foreign objects, so parents are wise to have their children only eat wrapped candies as well as taking advantage of local events at malls and other sites.
